Excellent Warming When They Work
February 2, 2020
Full disclosure - I am not using these socks with the supplied AA battery packs. I am using them with the two sets of Li-Ion battery packs I received with the previous two purchased sets of Action Socks, which 3 of 4 of them no longer conduct electricity. These socks, when new, do keep my feet warm during my 35 minute commutes to work on days as cold as the upper teens Fahrenheit while riding a Triumph Tiger adventure tourer. However, I have yet to buy a pair of Action Socks that lasted much more than one winter's worth of commutes, which for me is about 50-70 rides to work. If they would sell the socks separately for about $20, I would not mind buying a pair every year, but to pay $120 for Li-Ion powered socks every year, or even $40 for AA powered socks is too rich for my blood. I have way more batteries and battery packs than I need. Unless they start selling the Action Heat socks separately, this is probably the last set of Action Heat socks I buy. Perhaps, a competitor has a more durable battery heated set of socks.
Pros3 settings of warmth when they work
Consnot durable, too expensive

Heated Socks

I am in Oregon and for me it's cold as I live in Tucson, AZ. I have Diabetes and my feet get cold easily. I will be leaving to go home after Christmas and the socks that were ordered Dec 6th have yet to arrive. I am not sure what to do with them if they arrive. The ordering process was easy and as far as I see your business runs good, no fault. If the need arises again I will be better prepared when ordering. Merry Christmas

Work better than expected!
December 22, 2019
I sometimes must ride my motorcycle in sub-30 degree weather for 3 hours or so, and previous attempts at avoiding frozen feet and toes included using exothermic insoles like "Toasty Toes" and, naturally, extra thick socks designed for hunters and the like. Neither approach proved successful, so it was with some trepidation that I decided to try a pair of these. I am happy to report that they worked quite nicely. At first, putting on my boots with the socks already powered up (since I could not reach the power switches when my pants were on) I was a little concerned, in that I had hoped to feel a blush of warmth which did not happen. However, after three hours riding in temperatures that ranged from the low 20's to below 14 degrees (I don't know how much lower, as the readout on my dash just turned to hyphens below 14) my feet were completely comfortable. Can't get better than that! I guess longer battery life would be nice, but since it uses AA batteries for longer trips it would be a matter of replacing the batteries themselves - meaning, at lesat in my case, the need to undress to reach the battery packs tucked into the tops f the socks. But that's a small price to pay for comfortable feet in really cold circumstances.
ProsKeeps feet warm in really cold temperatures Comfortable - no bulges or feeling embedded wires when worn

Socks do keep my feet warm, but they kill the batteries quickly. Not good when they take three each.
ProsKeep feet fairly warm.
ConsKills batteries quickly

Great for the money.

Had these for a year and keep feet warm during winter activities. Clean in warm water with det. And lay flat to dry every few uses .Wearing light sock underneath helps to keep clean. I'm upgrading next pair to 3.7 battery packs as 3 hours is max on present pair with AA batteries.
ProsWarm feet for little $$.
ConsBuy 2 sets of rechargables for outings. Don't bother with pricey single use batteries or well ,there goes the planet.

Great socks

I ordered these for my husband and he loves them. The only glitch is one of the socks doesn't light up when he turns them on. He said it's hard to tell if they are on because of his Rye's Syndrome.

Warm and cozy
February 10, 2018
I recently received the heated socks that are powered by 3 AA batteries each. They' re made of a very luxurious fabric. I wear men's size 10 shoes and the L/XL size is a perfect fit. I was a little concerned that the battery packs might feel too heavy, but they' re not even noticeable when in use. I've only used the socks once so far, during the recent cold spell here in the northeast, but they provided just the right warmth inside my boots. Because the socks are slightly bulky, you might want to wear them with shoes or boots that are a half size larger than you would wear using normal socks. The included care instructions say to spot clean only, so I emailed customer service asking what to do if the socks get dirty or sweaty. They replied quickly that it's OK to hand wash in water with a gentle soap, and to lay flat to dry (but not to place in the dryer). Delivery took a few weeks, a bit longer than expected, but not a big deal for me.
ProsVery comfortable, with thick, soft fabric. Just the right amount of gentle heat. Battery packs tuck easily away at top of socks and aren't even noticeable when in use.
ConsDelivery took several weeks.

Rode my Bicycle with this
December 7, 2017
Went bike riding with these socks with temperatures in the mid 30s. It kept my toes warm for a couple of hours but after that the battery died. I'm going to go through lots of batteries for this. I would suggest to get rechargeable batteries for this to save money. My issue with these sicks is how to clean them. Instructions were not that clear if it's machine washable so I ended up hand washing them.
ProsKept toes warm in mid 30s temps
Consbatteries didn't last long no clear instructions on how to clean, in fact there were no instructions inside the package. Most everything is on the box.

Great socks but small width
October 28, 2017
I bought these socks for my elderly mother (shoe size 9). They warm up well but are quite tight width wise and it was difficult for her to put on. A young niece with very thin feet and legs is using them now and LOVES them.
ConsVery tight fitting width wise. Buy a bigger size than shoe size.

Not silly at all!
January 1, 2017
I thought these would be silly...I was wrong. Works very well and stays warm a long time. The wires running through the sock are not bothersome to me, and I am usually sensitive about wrinkles in my socks.
Pros Warm feet!
ConsA little bulky around the calf, so form fitting clothes aren't the best to wear while wearing the socks.

First off, let me say that the shipping time was the FASTEST I have EVER experienced when shopping online! I ordered 2 pair of socks on a Thursday and I got them on the following Saturday! INCREDIBLE! The employee who helped me place the order was quite polite and very helpful! ( You know who you are!) The socks are a rare breed! Specifically made to distribute the heat to the parts of your feet that need it the most! My friend has trouble with frostbite and when she put the socks on for the first time, she was ecstatic! She wore them around the house with a pair of footies over them to hold the heat in and was extremely satisfied with her purchase!
ConsIf any changes to the socks could be made it's the temperature limit. Raising the heat setting or making it possible to change the temperature of the sock yourself.
