Great pants....if they fit
November 19, 2020
These pants are built extremely well and have a ton of useful features. There's no doubt they will last for quite some time and do a great job keeping you warm. However, you'll need to be in the "tall & thin" build category to get a proper fit.

Awesome as a woman to have serious winter riding pants.
May 17, 2020
These look big when you take them out of the package—but whatever you think—don't put off trying them on. The looks of these are deceiving in terms of fit. Try them on to be sure before you keep them or return. These are warm and cozy—except for the draft that I mentioned under cons. As a small woman, it's hard to get appropriate heated gear, and the small is close to a perfect fit for me—though I don't want to gain any weight! I'm 5'2, 110 lbs, 28 waist. I hope that Gerbing will make the EX Pro Jacket in a women's fit. I love the pants and want a matching jacket, but the last thing I want is to feel like I'm wearing my brother's.
Pros
  • Warm winter pants
Cons
  • A bit bulky like old-style ski pants, but you don't feel them when you are out on the bike.
  • Need a gator or knitted cuff at the ankles to keep drafts out (that's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars).

Worth the money
January 4, 2018
Road in 17 degree weather at 70 mph and stayed toasty warm. Also road in rain storm lasting 4+ hours crossing Alabama, and stayed dry except for 4-6 inches at very bottom but to me that is expected due to spray. You can take out liners but kind of a pain, I tried it to see if I could. I have 40 inch waist and went with 3xl so that I could slide on over boots and pants easier. I purchased cheap suspenders so that the pants stay up. love these things.
Pros
  • Dry, warm. I Don't really need heat until below 32. Wind proof and waterproof.

Excellent protection from the road and cold
November 10, 2017
These pants are great to keep warm with and safe from the road. Although they are rather bulky they are still comfortable and easy to move in. I am normally a medium to large (barely) I had to go with the XL, I might have been able to fit into the Large but it would have been tight. Im 6' tall 200lbs. If the price was lower I would give them 5 stars. I wore them in the rain for 4 hours with the temps just under 50, didn't need much heat as they kept me perfectly dry.
Pros
  • Easy connection, quality materials, comfortable, easy to move in, water proof (seriously WATERPROOF!)
Cons
  • A little bulky, high price

Heated Pants
October 13, 2017
The pants are comfortable and came with removable knee guards. With the knee guards in place, it was a difficult to get them in to my saddlebags but since I ride on the highways, I removed them and with the knee guards removed they are a little more comfortable and easily fit in my hard saddlebags. The Thinsulate lining keep me warm in down to 50F without using 12V. When riding in 45F temp with 12V on with the temp controller set to mid-range, they were to warm and had to lower the setting. The bottom leg closure strap allows me to keep the cold air/wind out and the legs warm during my early morning commute to work.
Pros
  • Able to pull on pants with work pants and boots/shoes on. Lower leg closures keep the cold air from coming up the legs. Removable knee guards. Two zippered front pockets for keys, phone, and/or wallet.
Cons
  • No work pants pocket access without unfastening the waist closure.
